  7. Its always a pleasure to stay at Le Lounge. It accomodates 3 generations of our family comfortably. There is even a spacious deck and play space for the kids ! The decor is tasteful yet fun and the area is perfect for fashion, cafes, restaurants and markets. We have been returning for several years.

  14. Beautiful lighting and comfortable space. Walk up apartment in the center of a bustling neighborhood. We only left once to go to Old City and the Biodome, the rest of the weekend we had everything within walking distance (places to eat, drink, dance, and shop). Highly recommend!

  16. Amazing appartment! New, clean, and well furnished and decorated. We were a group of seven people, from 11 to 74 years, and everyone loved the place. Everything we needed was there. Our host gave us all sorts of tips so we could really enjoy Montreal, and the area we lived in. Mont-Royal Est, is great for eating and shopping with plenty of cool bars and restaurants. Thank you for a great time in Montreal!

You step right onto the sidewalk of MontRoyal and are amidst the many stores, cafes, restaurants, SAQ, grocery store...all is within a few steps of this appartment. Joanna and Frederique are absolutely wonderful to deal with and will provide you with everyting you need to make you stay as perfect as possible. The appartment itself is new throughout. Clean and spotless! It has everything one could wish for and will accomodate large groups without the feeling of stepping on each other. The patio is an added bonus. We celebrated my husband's 50th. and if we need a place to host again, we will not hesitate to book here again. A perfect place !!!!

  21. We had a fantastic stay in Montreal and really enjoyed the beautiful apartment on Mount Royal. The space was more than ideal for us and our three kids. The furnishings are exactly like the photos if not better, the decor was beautiful, the space was full of light, the patio was wonderful, the arrangements to get in to the apartment were flawless and the parking behind the unit was extremely convenient. We would without hesitation recommend this unit and look forward to returning ourselves.

  22. This place was amazing! We were 3 couples staying for 1 night and it was great to have such an amazing place in Montreal to stay. The host provided us a 1 night stay last minute when our plans fell through and we are so grateful. The apartment was in a great location with parking right behind the unit. We were in seconds from everything you could think off. My friend even needed to purchase a last minute dress for the wedding and this was done in 20minutes. If we all came back we would stay here. Beautiful,lots of space, great comfy beds, lovely patio, quiet but right in the action the best combo!

  23. Perfect experience. The apartment was as clean as the pictures, incredible. Downstairs was the main strip, which wasn't noisy at night. The area is super safe, interesting, and has plenty to do and eat. Metro is about 7-10 minutes walk. Wifi and appliances work fine. Thank you for the experience!

The neighborhood was exactly what we were looking for. It allowed us to be close enough to access downtown yet stay in semi-residential.   29. My father grew up in Montreal and for the last 40 years our family has been coming from Toronto a few times a year to visit his family. We have stayed at friends' and family's homes, high end and low end hotels and motels all over the city. Staying at Joanna and Frederique's apt on Mont Royale was a life changer. We will never hotel-it again! And we will undoubtedly rely on Joanna and Frederique to host us at this or another one of their gorgeous properties. This place is glorious. We (11 and growing) were able to stay together in a spacious, spotless, luxurious city pad, explored a lovely part of the city, and felt well and truly pampered. Thank you thank you Joanna for enduring all our questions and curiousness. We are VERY excited to be in touch with you in the spring!

  30. Die Wohnung liegt in einem typischen, charmanten Wohnviertel von Montréal und ist somit perfekt gelegen, um die Stadt zu erleben. Unser Aufenthalt hat perfekt geklappt; Joanna und Frédéric (wir waren nur per E-Mail in Kontakt) waren stets hilfsbereit bei den wenigen Fragen, die wir hatten. Die Zimmer sind modern und stilvoll eingerichtet, die Küche umfassend ausgestattet. Praktisch auch der Balkon im Innenhof. Zwei der vier Schlafzimmer liegen gegen den Innenhof und sind sehr ruhig; bei den anderen beiden ist die Strasse zu hören (was aber zu dieser Lage gehört und uns keineswegs gestört hat). Die nächste Metrostation ist zwar 15 Minuten zu Fuss entfernt, liegt jedoch an derselben Strasse und ist problemlos zu finden. In nächster Nähe befinden sich diverse Läden, Schnellimbisse, Restaurants und Bars. Fazit: Absolut empfehlenswert!

  31. Joanna and Frederique were great hosts! We booked the apartment very late (we actually didn't finalize the rental agreement and pay for the apartment until the day we were checking in) and they were accommodating and VERY responsive over the day when we were traveling to confirm payment and make sure we had everything we needed to check-in to the property late that night. The property was great - there was a deck out back with a table for lounging, a nice living room and kitchen (all open-air) for hanging out and the rooms were big and spacious with big closets. The beds were very comfortable and the cleaning staff was very friendly. The neighborhood was very good for what we wanted (we were 5 guys traveling for business but we went out late on Friday and Saturday nights). Lots to do up and down the street where the property is located - great bars and restaurants. We cabbed into Old Montreal where the majority of clubs/bars are located, which didn't cost more than $20 CDN one way. Overall a great experience! Thank you Joanna and Frederique!

  37. Received a very helpful 10-page house manual, neighbourhood information package a few days before arrival. Apartment was clean and well equipped. The two bedrooms overlooking the street suffer from quite a bit of traffic noise. One drawback, the stairs are quite noisy. People staying upstairs coming and going at all hours guarantee to wake you. Great location! Lots of restaurants and shopping. Look forward to trying again when the weather is better.

  38. Our group of 8 friends were visiting Montreal from toronto for four days. After looking through dozens of hotels and hostels, we stumbled across this residence and immediately fell in love. The apartment was clean, spacious, and very beautiful. Joanna and Freddie were very attentive to detail when designing this space, and it's perfect for a large group. I would highly recommend living in this apartment, as well as any of the other beautiful places under the same hostess.

  39. This is a good quality apartment handy for restaurants but still reasonably quiet, especially the rooms at the rear. Not designed for cooking really, so expect to eat out. 10 min walk from the metro which quickly gets you to local attractions and shopping.

  40. We had a fabulous stay at this condo which is spacious, very clean and nicely decorated. We travelled with two small children and 8 adults and there was plenty of space for all of us. We had a problem with late night noise from the ten bents above, but found the owners if our condo to be appropriately responsive when we complained. I would highly recommend this condo for our of town travellers. It is conveniently located across the street from a few markets and coffee shops.

We did walk to old montreal in 40 minutes and loved walking around the parks nearby. The information pack provided was amazing and so helpful for us and we pretty much used it as a guide for our stay.

  47. The neighborhoodwas awesome. We had a 24-hour burger joint across the street, a 24-hour grocery a block away, and a liquor store ½ block away. We walked to bars down the street for both day and night drinking and it was a quick stroll to LeFontaine Parc. Loved the area.

  49. This apartment was beautiful. Located in a very urban neighborhood with plenty of paid parking in the back. Very convenient location with bars abound. Noise from the streets could be heard at night in some bedrooms because of the location too, but it's not unbearable. My wife and I booked this place for 3 couples plus a single and there was plenty of space. Unfortunately, our trip was too short and I wish I could have stayed longer. I will definitely look into this place again on our next Montreal trip!

We rented it for a girls weekend and it was perfect! The neighborhood is centrally located with loads of shops, restaurants, and nightlife and is a short walk to the Metro.   54. Our stay here was great. The apartment was clean, spacious, and very accommodating for a large group of guests. The location is also quite good - the Mont-Royal neighborhood itself has a lot going on, and is not far from the bigger downtown attractions of Montreal. Our hosts (Freddie and Joanna) were not with us for the weekend, but they were very friendly and open in their communication and made sure the apartment was well-prepared for us to have a great experience. Overall I would definitely recommend Le Lounge!

  60. This apartment was perfect for our visit to Montreal. We were a group of 12 and the space in the apartment was ideal. The place looked just like the pictures and the neighborhood is amazing. We found great places for breakfast and dinner and even a big park for the kids to play soccer all within walking distance. Frederique and Joanna are very responsive hosts and they were on top of things during our stay.   64. The plateau is great part of Montreal. Lots of cool restaurants, close to to bars and clubs, and only a short drive to the mountain. Having said that, this apartment is right in the heart of the action. Four bedrooms, a cool and secluded balcony area (can easily seat 8-10 people) and 2 bright and clean wash rooms make this an easy pick for a big group of people. Our hosts made life easy for us by providing a detailed user guide and self-serve access to the unit. With parking just behind the unit (only $12 a day!), it was easy getting to and from the car. I wholly recommend this if you've got a group of people looking for a welcoming place in the heart of the plateau.

Le logement était parfaitement décrit et très agréable Les hotes étaient disponibles pour répondre aux questions L'appartement était sur le plateau donc tres bien situé Par contre les chambres sur rue Ne sont pas bieninsonorisées ce qui rend le sommeil difficile le samedi soir!!!! En revanche la nuit de dimanche a lundi a été plus calme... Nous étions 8 avec un bébé et nous étions bien installés En résumé bon séjour

  68. Pas de relation "hôte-invité", on est dans une relation commerciale. On ne rencontre d'ailleurs pas les hôtes ni à l'arrivée ni au départ. Envoi d'un guestbook peu "user-friendly", assez directif, assez complet toutefois sauf qu'en ce qui nous concerne ce guide nous a fourni des informations éronnées sur le fonctionnement du sationnement devant l'appartement ce qui a eu pour nous comme conséquence de recevoir une amende de 53$C alors même que nous nous étions strictement conformés aux directives du guestbook. Lorsque j'ai demandé s'il était envisageable que l'amende soit prise en charge par "Best Montreal apartments" parce qu'ils nous avaient induit en erreur en fournissant une information eronnée, il n'a pas été question de leur côté de faire un geste tout en m'indiquant que nous étions francophones et qu'il nous appartenait de nous renseigner. Je considère que même Francophones, nous restons des étrangers et que c'est peu élégant de répondre ainsi et considère donc pour ma part qu'il vaut mieux une absence d'information plutot qu'une information qui induit en erreur son client surtout quand on se place dans une relation commerciale. A l'arrivée, pas de climatisation allumée et 30 degrés dans l'appartement... Attention, l'avenue du Mont Royal est une avenue passante, les 2 chambres donnant sur la rue sont donc bruyantes.   69. Hosts were fantastic. They sent a handbook well before our trip that included details about both the condo and the neighborhood. This was a great tool to help us plan the weekend; where to eat, what to do, what to see. Location is great. In the heart of Mount Royal. Walking distance to great restaurants, neighborhood bars, and groceries right across the street. Bicycles for rent right around the corner which was the more fun and cheaper way to get around the city. When we did take a taxi was no more than $15 to get downtown. Condo had everything we needed. 4 bedrooms with bunk beds in one room and Queen or larger in the other bedrooms made it easy to sleep our group. 2 full bathrooms were very convenient. Great kitchen and nice outdoor space for relaxing. Highly recommend, great value, and hosts make it easy.

  76. Freddie was an absolutely wonderful host, she included a very detailed document of everything to know about the apartment which made it very easy to check-in and figure things out. The apartment is really beautiful, everything is new and clean, it is very large! The photos are very accurate. As a group of 4 guys, we loved the fact that we could all have our own bedroom. The deck was also quite incredible. The location was nice and had everything from coffee shops, restaurants, liquor stores, grocery stores, banks and parks all within walking distance. We would absolutely stay here again.

  78. The apartment was AMAZING! There was lots of space, it was very updated and modern, and located in a great neighborhood. There were tons of shops and restaurants in the area. We tried a breakfast place from the guestbook provided by the hosts and the food was great! The parking information in the guestbook was also extremely helpful and accurate. I would definitely recommend this apartment for large or small groups. With 4 bedrooms, 5 beds, and 2 bathrooms there is plenty of space and everyone fits comfortably. The apartment is beautiful :)

The neighborhood worked really well for our group as we were near many stores and the Metro by foot, including a market that was open on Christmas Day.   83. The place was fantastic! We were a group of 10 people and we all fit comfortably. There are also 2 extra mattress located in one of the closet. The living room was fantastic for all of us to gather and talk. The location was perfect. Everything was within 1 block radius. Breakfast, groceries, liquor, etc. Having access to the property was very easy! A key code was needed to enter the front door and likewise, another key code was needed to open the key box. Definitely would recommend this place to someone who is interested in visiting Montreal!

There are so many great shops and restaurants within a 10 minute walk from the condo. The condo was exactly as pictured. Very clean and spacious, my group of 9 didn't feel cramped at all. Due to a double booking (that was explained to us prior to our arrival) we actually stayed at the Lounge for 2 nights and then moved to the Metro apartment (which is also ran by the same people). The Metro is better located and more spacious (though has one less bedroom and only one bathroom), but the Lounge is still nice. Parking is an issue. There is a parking lot directly behind the apartment but it is not open 24 hours, so you need to move it before midnight and back again before 7am when street parking charges begin. Again, the Metro apartment was better as the parking lot a couple of blocks away was 24/7. The hosts were very accommodating and responsive and although there were a couple of issues (they were out of dishwashing tablets and the baby crib provided didn't come with any sheets) I'm sure they would have resolved them if I bothered to ask.

  106. Le Lounge is a gorgeous apartment located in a fantastic area of Montreal. We were able to walk and bike everywhere, groceries were right downstairs, and the bars/restaurants in the blocks around the apartment are all fantastic. The apartment was clean and extremely modern, perfect for a group of guys wanting to enjoy a weekend in Montreal. Air conditioning a plus in the summer. Outdoor area and grill were awesome perks. Hosts were extremely responsive and provided guestbook and things to do in Montreal well prior to our stay to maximize our enjoyment and stay. Highly recommended.

Accueil type professionnel par mail (sans contact face to face). Quelques jours avant notre date d'arrivée, nous avons reçu un mail avec toutes les règles de l'appartement, des restaurants, lieux à voir,... mais rien de disponible sur papier sur place, même pas le code wifi. Comme nous étions parti depuis près de 3 semaines, ceci ne nous a pas facilité la vie. Nous avons passé un très bon moment et nous recommandons cet appartement.

  124. This is a great apartment in a hip area of Montreal. Spotlessly clean and modern, it was a perfect spot for three couples to stay while visiting for a concert. The only thing to be aware of, two of the bedrooms are facing the street, which can be a bit noisy up until the bars close. Other than that, it was a wonderful place to stay.

The pictures on the website definitely mirror the actual airbnb. The beds were comfortable, the space was clean, chic and modern. We loved using the outdoor patio when we had breakfast altogether one morning. This airbnb is also in a great location! We were fortunate enough to stay when there was a weeklong street fair, and there were plenty of shops and supermarkets around us. All in all, a great stay. Thanks again!

  131. We took a girls trip to Montreal and could not have had a better time!! The apartment had a great flow upon entry and was laid out perfectly with bedrooms being on either end of the apartment. The kitchen, dining area and living room were open which made it very easy to keep the conversation going without feeling cramped at all. The other nice thing about this apartment was that each one of us had our own towel, pillow and chair (dining room/outdoor table) so we never felt like it was too many people for the apartment. I would recommend keeping it to 8 adults max based on the sleeping arrangements.

This place is lovely, but unfortunately the A/C in the apartment was broken while we were there and for some reason the building collected and retained the heat all day and did not cool down at night despite the fans they provided. It was not particularly hot in Montreal so we stayed out as long as we could, however we never enjoyed the apartment. The patio is a nice touch but it is a shared patio. The upstairs guys were fine, not too loud or visible, but they smoked a lot of pot on the stairs of the patio during their stay. We had kids with us so we didn't use the patio while were there. Our hosts were quick to get back to us and offered us another place on the 2nd day. We declined because one of us has access issues due to a physical ailment. The other place would have been a bigger problem than suffering from the heat. Our hosts offered a small refund which we accepted.

Also if you don't rent the upstairs too, the guests can walk through the deck while you're using it to use the back exit. Overall very nice and clean, would definitely recommend!

We were able to walk to downtown and old montreal from here (not a short walk, but it was a great way to explore the city) but the best part is the street the apartment is on. Great restaurants, shops, and nightlife all just a quick walk away, and there are many other cool neighborhoods very close by. Apartment is very nice and spacious and we had absolutely no complaints.

The communication was slow but I think it may have been a misunderstanding about what the best method was - and my phone service was not working so texting was impossible. One note is that the entrance to the apartment is a 19 step narrow entrance. If you have small kids or elderly parents it is something to consider. Easy parking in lot directly behind the building….paid but great.

  179. Tres bel appartement tres spacieux propre avec tout ce qu il faut a l interieur pour fonctionner. Emplacement super au milieu du plateau. A 10 mn a pied de la station de metro. Pourceux qui ont une voiture un parking payant de 16 dollars les 24 h ce qui est une benediction pour ceux qui savent a quel point c est difficile de se garer a montreal. Pleins de restaurants et de magasins d alimentation autour. Nous avons ete ravis

  181. Super localisation de l'appartement. Difficile de faire mieux. L'appartement est grand et fonctionnel. Le GROS hic : demandez le 2nd étage pour éviter les nuisances sonores des voisins du dessus (l'isolation du plancher/plafond est très mauvaise). Et si vous prenez le 2nd étage, soyez avisés que les gens en dessous vont subir vos pas, donc soyez vigilants.

  193. 5 old friends met up in Montreal for a weekend. The apartment was perfect! Located in a great part of the city with restaurants, cafes, shops, and the metro a two minute walk away. We found free on street parking which was a bonus! The apartment is spacious with 3 good sized rooms and a very comfortable living/dining area. There's a front terrace that sits above the main street, and another covered terrace overlooking the quiet side street. Comfortable beds, plenty of kitchen stuff, nice towels, extra blankets and sheets...it has everything! Would definitelystay again. Hosts were responsive and helpful. Wish we had made it a 3 day weekend.

  195. Great Apartment in a great location. We were two families in this spacious apartment and had plenty of room. Jeanne and Joel are excellent hosts. They answered all my questions before we arrived and always responded promptly to my messages while we were in Montreal as well. The apartment was clean and well-stocked. We had everything we needed to cook a family dinner. And the location is fantastic. Easy walk to cafes, bars, markets, bakeries, etc. Le Plateau and Mile End are great neighborhoods to walk around in and easily accessed from the apartment. The apartment was also very quiet even though it is on a main street. We would definitely stay here again.

  207. A superior AirBnB. The entire place was VERY clean upon arrival. Lots of supplies. The kitchen had all the tools needed. The layout and furniture is as in the photos. Stylish but comfortable. Perfect for bringing people together. The front bedrooms face onto Mont-Royal, a busy commercial street, so expect a bit of noise. The back bedrooms are blissfully quiet. The terrasse with large table was great for a 5à7 then a meal outside in the evening sun. The place is equipped for families with small children—a thoughtful touch. The location is ideal for revelling in the Plateau’s energetic vibe. Jeanne was very friendly and responsive, checking to ensure all was going well. And it was. We had a seamless AirBnB experience. I like to try different places when coming to MTL but my gang has said we need to come back to Le Lounge again.

  209. Stayed here for my bachelorette weekend. When we typed the address into maps, 2 different locations came up. With help from the host we were able to figure out which was the correct location. There’s a parking lot behind the building which was great as well. The space was perfect for a group, very clean and spacious. The outdoor patio was amazing too! There were 10 girls, so 2 bathrooms was challenging but there is so much natural light in the apartment, we were able to make it work for getting ready. We loved the location, about a 10 min walk to the Metro and lots of local shops/restaurants in the area.

  222. Positive: La localisation de l'appartement est vraiment top. L'avenue du Mont-Royal offre une animation en continue mais sans pour autant être trop bruyante. Le logement est spacieux jusqu'à 10 personnes et les équipements sont bien. La literie est confortable et les salles de bains sont bien. La cuisine est bien équipée et il y avait largement de vaisselle pour nous 9 et d'ustensiles de cuisine. La terrasse est franchement bien, on a pas pu en profiter en raison de la météo mais aux beaux jours ça doit vraiment être top de s'y prélasser après une bonne journée de marche, avec en plus un barbecue disponible. Les hôtes sont très réactifs et sympa. Negative: Le logement mériterait un coup de rafraîchessement et une vérification du ménage plus poussée. A notre arrivée c'était assez propre mais beaucoup de poussière sous les lits, on a retrouvé un ticket de train utilisé, des tâches sur le canapé, et des traces de doigts sur le miroir, Nous avons signalé cela à nos hôtes qui ont été super réactifs et ont proposé de suite plusieurs solutions :)
