   Property is lacking in some basic amenities and overall condition of apartment is not quite up to the photographs (Bathroom lighting was partly out, thus quite dark. Backyard furniture and overall appearance very tired. Bed mattress is almost unbearable with no support). Other glaring omission in the description: the location - Verdun neighborhood - is undergoing major transition and rebuilding. There are simply no services within walking distance, necessitating a car ride pretty much anywhere.

   Spacious one bedroom apartment with nice updated kitchen. Nice grill on back deck with yard. Washer/dryer in unit was very convenient. Location was great! 10-20 minute car ride to everything downtown! Really enjoyed our stay!

   Wir können das Appartment zu 100% empfehlen. Sehr gut und mit Geschmack eingerichtet, komplett ausgestattet, sehr sauber und mit dem Holzboden, der Terasse und dem Zugang zum Garten optimal für einen Aufenthalt in Montreal. Das Haus wirkt von außen einfacher als es innen ist. Sollten wir noch einmal das Glück haben nach Montreal zu kommen, werden wir auf jeden Fall wieder diese Unterkunft buchen.

    A great place for a family visiting Montreal. You're about a 10 min drive from downtown. The rental is located very close to the bus stop, includes a driveway, and has a huge yard with a grill. Doesn't get any better so close to downtown. Will definitely use again and recommend to friends/family.

    Apartment was clean. AC worked satisfactorily. Ants in kitchen on counters and walks. Backyard not well maintained. Grass needed cut. Tables were not clean for use. Grilled worked. Having private parking space was a plus.

    This was a great airbnb listing. A beautiful place, with a great kitchen. The hosts also provided us with a guest book (that gives information about the apartment, as well as the neighbourhood and Montreal) that was incredibly helpful. Big garden, great internet. We were a family of 4 and fit comfortably, but the floors, while beautiful, are a bit creaky. So I wouldn't recommend fitting 8 people (unless you are a close bunch of deep sleepers). Not a big problem, we had a wonderful time! Highly recommended.

    Our group of six enjoyed our stay at this apartment comfortably. We would definitely recommend this location to any one couple traveling with 2/3 friends as there is only one bed room with plenty of extra mattresses and a big sofa bed. The electronic appliances in the apartment was up to date and well maintained. The provided parking is very spacious and private, it fits a dodge caravan with no problem, and it may be possible to fit two small hatchbacks (Yaris, Fiesta). The decor of the master bedroom and washroom is very stylish.

    What a beautiful home! At the last minute our previous reservation cancelled on us, and we were left to find a new place. Despite communication issues on our end (intermittent internet and no phone), Frederique was patient and very helpful in lining up our reservation and getting us all the info we needed to get into the place. After driving in the rain and traffic for hours we arrived at the house and were blown away. It was such a relief for both me and my girlfriend. Possibly the best accommodations I've ever had for that price! Lots of amenities, neatly decorated and very comfortable. We drove most of the time we were in Montreal and found the location to be fairly convenient because of the off street parking. We never did take the metro from near the house, so I can't speak to the public transit in the area, but I think it would be pretty convenient. It's a very quiet neighborhood. Joanna and Frederique have also prepared a wonderful guide to the immediate area and Montreal as a whole. It was very detailed and very helpful. I only wished we could have booked sooner so they could have emailed it to us before we planned most of our trip.

    (Séjour du 5 au 12 octobre en couple avec un bébé de 2 mois et demi) Bonjour, Nous avons passé une semaine bien agréable dans cette jolie maisonnette confortable et très acceuillante. Nous avons apprécié le grand lit, la grande cuisine tout équipée et le jardin. Nous n'en espérons pas autant : lit pour bébé mis à notre disposition (gentille attention des hotes), grande salle de bain (baignoire et douche), lave linge, seche linge (trop bien quand vous avez des bébés qu'on doit changer tout le temps), de l'espace, cuisine tout équipée mais vraiment tout équipée (tout pour faire du café, des tartines, des toasts, ...hummmmm quel bonheur le matin et puis un lave vaiselle super quand peut éviter de passer 3 heures dans la cuisine à laver, essuyer...). Nous avons même réussi en plein mois d'octobre de diner dans le jardin, super terrasse et barbecue (non utilisé mais je suppose que c'est un matériel de bonne qualité comme dans toute la maisonnette) mis à notre disposition. Hormis la maison, la disponibilité des hotes par mail on était un facteur important à notre bien être pendant ce séjour. En bref, je conseille cet endroit sans hésitation aux amoureux de la tranquillité (ne pas croire qu'on est loin de la ville au contraire un bus nous y emmène en quelques minutes c'est super). Merci encore aux hôtes pour cet superbe semaine. Nous reviendrons très vite. Chloé - Paris France

Had to contact the owners about a couple of minor issues when we arrived (ice build up in freezer..) - they responded immediately and took care of everything... highly recommend this apartment and the owners (as they have other properties)... Liked the place so much we are renting again next week while our home continues to be renovated ..

    Joanna and Frederique's home is bright and cozy and warm. The bathroom is rather luxurious with a huge bathtub. The king-sized bed was a treat and we had fun with their guitar.     The home was lovely and spacious. LOVED the big tub and cozy atmosphere. We were glad to have the pack and play made available to us for our infant son and the king size bed was great for us! We went to the Atwater Market daily and we enjoyed the Montreal en Lumiere festivities in the evening while we were there. Since we have a baby (and it was wintertime) we drove our car to the closest metro and parked outside the station with no problems. Merci Beaucoup!

    We totally enjoyed our visit. This was the absolutely best Airbnb we have ever used. The guest book emailed to us prior to our arrival provided detailed information on the accommodations, as well as information on the neighborhood. Communication with Joanna was excellent. We loved the open, spacious, nicely decorated apartment. The apartment had everything anyone could want - excellent Wifi, cable TV, telephone, washer/dryer. Having access to a fully equipped, modern kitchen was wonderful. The house was spotlessly clean.The off-street parking spot worked well. When we used the Metro, given the bitterly cold winter weather, we chose to drive to the Charlevoix Metro station where we were able to easily find street parking. While we love the wonderful winding wrought iron stairways in this area, as an older couple it was nice to have no stairs to climb. The neighborhood was one of those special Montreal enclaves which has character and is near to old Montreal and downtown - a perfect location. We loved every minute of our stay and hope to return the next time we come to Montreal.

    Très jolie maison. Très bien équipée. Super jardin Nous n'avons pas rencontré Joanna et Frederique, mais la communication a malgré tout été parfaite. Bus pour le centre ville dans la rue. Métro tout de même assez loin Le quartier est un quartier historiquement ouvrier. On se sent comme dans un village. Nous conseillons vivement le BOBBY, petit resto bar à deux pas du logement. Joanna et Frederique nous ont permis de laisser nos bagages dans la maison le dernier jour, en attendant notre vol retour du soir. Nous conseillons ce logement sans réserves.

    We were traveling into Montreal from the US and contacted Joanna on the day that we needed a reservation. She got back to me right away and was very accommodating on such short notice. The house was very clean and comfortable, and she made sure we had everything that we needed to make ourselves at home. The location is super convenient to downtown but in a quiet residential area. We noticed no street noise from inside and had a great night's sleep. I would definitely stay here again and would not hesitate recommending this rental.

    If you are a lover of good design and charm, you will enjoy spending time here. The row house is close to everything, but set apart enough to be quiet. The yard makes it a perfect place for children to play and the house is equipped with a portable crib and three extra mattresses, providing plenty of space for a family. The owners' contract and information was thorough and filled with suggestions of where to go and what to do in the area. Lovely!

    Awesome place. Tons of room and beautifully designed. My review may be somewhat bias since I love the feel of a loft space and exposed brick walls. The backyard was HUGE -- the only down side for me was that the weather wasn't nice enough most of the time to enjoy it. My only "issue" was that the area was more of a short ride in a cab to places rather than a short walk. I knew this going in though and I love to walk so it was a non-issue for me -- just thought I would mention it for anyone who is lazy :).

    This is a very lovely, charming home about 15 mins drive from downtown Montreal. Communication with the hosts was great, and I was so grateful they were able to fit me in at the last minute. They also sent excellent, comprehensive info about the house (TV, keys, local restaurants, etc) in advance which I really appreciated. As a single woman travelling on my own, I'm not sure the neighbourhood was the best fit for me as I didn't quite feel safe, but I think it would be totally fine for a couple.     wij hebben de verhuurder jammer genoeg niet ontmoet, maar wel telefonische contacten gehad met Joanna en Fréderique. Het zijn 2 charmante dames die op al je vragen antwoorden, zowel voor informatie over de stad als andere practische vragen. Het appartement is in een hele rustige buurt gelegen wel wat ver van het centrum, de bus die op de hoek van de straat stopt is niet zeer regelmatig en we hebben wel soms meer dan een half uur moeten wachten. de metro is op een 15 a 20 min loopafstand dat was wel vervelend. Het appartement is ruim en het bed heel goed, er zijn weinig winkels in de buurt en voor een gezellig ontbijt is er slechts 1 snackbar niet ver gelegen.ik raad dit appartement aan voor jonge mensen , die zich beter kunnen verplaatsen als senioren.toch dank aan de huurders.

    Good house that met our basic needs. There were three of us and it was more than enough room. Has one bedroom with a king size bed that we used. It's clean but the backyard needs some work to make it more inviting. It is about a 15min walk to the closest Metro and IGA and there is a bus stop within 2 min.

    I stayed in Montreal for a week with my husband, 4 year old daughter and baby boy. The house was very comfortable and had everything we needed. We especially loved the big bath tub! We had a car and having our own driveway was really nice. Everywhere we wanted to go in Montreal was a quick drive away. It was also nice to have a playground so close by, our daughter really enjoyed that. Joanna sent a very informative email with suggestions of where to eat, parking rules, things to do etc. We would happily stay there again!

    We are very new to travelling and our hosts made us feel very welcome in Montreal. We found the neighbourhood quiet and had good access to transit. The Guestbook that was sent to us was very helpful and our hosts were available by phone when we needed anything. We really appreciated being able to leave our luggage in the apartment on our last day since we had a later flight. The apartment was just as the pictures depicted and had everything we needed. We would and have already recommended airbnb and would also recommend this apartment if someone we knew was heading to Montreal.

    Joanna and Frederique were very communicative, very helpful, and this house was just perfect for my boyfriend and me! The house is open, comfortable, well-lit, and just as lovely as it looks in the photos. We also loved the backyard, which was perfect for relaxing with a glass of wine in the evenings.The neighborhood was calm and quiet, which was perfect for us, since we mostly spent our time working on creative projects indoors. We also had a car, which made getting around a breeze, but even so, there are plenty of great places within walking distance! All in all a wonderful way to spend our first visit to Montreal!

    This was our second time at this appartment. The location is perfect for visting my family. Downtown Montreal is a few mins away by car. The appartment is clean and well equiped.     Nous étions 5 pour cette maison à Montreal. Nous nous sommes sentis à l'étroit. Nous savions qu'il n'y avait qu'une chambre (l’hôte à été honnête à ce sujet), le canapé et un matelas à mettre au sol. Pas pratique du tout. Je pense que trois adultes est un maximum. Pour le reste la maison est très bien équipé que ce soit la cuisine ou l'electro-ménager, décoré avec gout et le jardin est n plus avec les écureuils. L'ensemble était propre, mis à part de la vaisselle mal nettoyée et du linge dans le sèche linge (je pinaille, mais comme il y a des frais de ménage, je pensais que quelqu'un vérifiait ces détails avant l'arrivée des voyageurs), j'ai oublié moi-même de la vaisselle propre dans le lave vaisselle en partant. Petit bémol aussi pour le quartier, c'est un avis personnel. Concernant le contact avec les hôtes (que nous n'avons pas rencontré), c'était parfait, réponse rapide et guestbook complet.

    Freddie and Jeanne were great communicators. I never got to formally meet them but any questions I had were very quickly answered. They give a very detailed list of everything you need to know such as how to get into the house, wifi, garbage, leaving ect. The apartment was just as the pictures showed. It is a very beautiful apartment extremely clean and the kitchen was nicely stocked with a blender, toaster, microwave, pots and pans, coffee maker kettle, and some basic spices. They also had plenty of wine glasses :) The main Bed was super comfy, they do not have a shortage of pillows and sheets and blankets. They even have 2 extra mattresses to accommodate a larger group, my 3rd friend slept on the couch and said it was perfect. The bathroom is very nice with a huge tub that I never got to use. Hot water worked perfectly and there were plenty of towels. They do have a no loud noises after 9pm rule. There were three of us and we all laugh very loud and definitely dont go to bed by 9pm, but we didn run into any problems. I can see how that may be an issue though if you want to enjoy the backyard in the summer with your friends and some wine. (which was a bummer it was so cold that we couldnt use it) The location of the apartment was perfect for me as I had work nearby. There is a bus that stops right by the apartment, but I drove. Parking was a breeze its a one way street with parking on both sides of the road. For a driver it was in a great spot it was about 10-20 min drive to just about anywhere. Im from toronto though and everything is pretty spread out. It was 10mins to the simons downtown, it was 15 mins to the indoor surf place in south shore. And it was about 15-20 mins to get to mile end where a lot of good food is, and about 10-15 min to get to old montreal. All in all it was an amazing experience at a great cost and I would definitely come back to stay :) Thanks so much!!!

    Joanna et Jeanne ont tout fait pour faciliter notre venue dans cette superbe maison. Et nous n'avons pas été déçus : de grands espaces aménagés avec goût, un jardin privatif, un quartier très calme, une belle cuisine bien équipée, un lit très confortable et une salle de bain moderne nous ont ravis (sans oublier la disponibilité d'un lit pour bébé). La localisation est parfaite également (10mn en voiture de Downtown), la place de parking privée est un plus indéniable. Une très bonne expérience que nous espérons renouveler prochainement pour profiter à nouveau de cette belle et stimulante ville de Montréal.

    This is a comfortable, rustically-decorated yet modern one bedroom apartment with a parking space. We really appreciated the dedicated parking space since we were driving to Montreal. If we weren't worried about parking, we would have to preferred to stay in a more hip location like the Plateau. This place is located in a safe-feeling but not especially exciting neighborhood - near Costco (yay!) and some trains/industrial looking shipping containers (not as visually pleasing.) We did appreciate driving home to this comfortable apartment after a long day in Montreal - requires short drive through highway/tunnel. It has high ceilings which contribute to a sense of spaciousness, even if the place isn't overly large (one main room plus kitchen, bathroom and bedroom.) The place was well equipped and had an outdoor space which was nice to look at, though we didn't have time to use it on a busy sightseeing trip. There is a nice, large soaking tub in the bathroom. The couches didn't seem to have a pullout bed but some type of Ikea trundle bed situation as far as I could tell. It didn't matter for us since we only needed one bed. There were new appliances, including a nice washer and dryer (stocked with laundry detergent - we would have preferred unscented.) Of note, the air conditioning unit is in the main room, and there is no air conditioning in the bedroom (fan is provided) - okay for us since the weather wasn't particularly hot during our stay. The hosts were very responsive to a question we had. Overall, this is a pleasant, airy apartment, excellent for those who want a dedicated parking space, about 10-20 minute drive into more interesting parts of Montreal.

    Lots of quality information provided about the neighborhood by Joanna in the guest pages sent a few days before arrival. Arrival was seamless with the key in a lock box beside the door. We were met by the cleaning staff who were working next door and eager to answer any questions. We would definitely stay at this apartment again should we be in this area of Montreal.     The apartment is as pictured. Spacious and clean and the best was the bathroom which has an amazing tub. The outside area is also nice though we didnt use it much since we were out on the town. The apartment is not near anything within walking distance so you will have to drive to everything which makes the available driveway come in handy. It is a quiet part of town so no worries of noise.

    This space was exactly as listed. It can accommodate a group of 5 or 6. you have your main room with a king size bed, two mattresses that you can lay on the floor and a sofa bed. the neighborhood was quiet and you can easily find free parking on the street, it was also a short drive to downtown / Old Montreal and the casino! I would highly consider this place for a family visiting Montreal. The Check in and check out process was easy and the host was 100% responsive.     Home in Montreal ist ein Zusammenschluss mehrerer Personen, die verschiedene Wohnungen in Montreal betreuen. Unsere Wohnung war genau wie im Inserat beschrieben. Hier gab es eigentlich nichts zu meckern. Check-in und Check-out erfolgt durch einen Schlüsselkasten. Wir hatten diese Wohnung explizit wegen dem Parkplatz gebucht. Leider wurden vor Ort die ganzen Bürgersteige neu gemacht. Dadurch musste man sich dann doch einen Parkplatz irgendwo auf der Straße suchen. Dem Homein Montral Team war dieses anscheinend nicht bewusst, telefonisch hieß es nur das man dann einen Parkplatz suchen müsse und die Stadt natürlich arbeiten durchführen könne, wenn es nötig ist. Die Situation mit dem Parkplatz war noch akzeptabel, allerdings war der Baustellenlärm doch schwer nervig. Letzten Endes sind wir früher abgereist, weil wir durch die Mieter über uns (die Decken sind hellhörig) und die Baustelle einfach nicht entspannen konnten. Zusammenfassend: Postitiv: Große gut ausgestattete Wochnung, sauber und gut gelegen. Vermieter ist immer erreichbar. Negativ: Duch die Anzahl an vermieteten Objekten keine persönliche Betreuung der Wohungen, daduch ist der Vermieter über lokale Gegebenheiten nicht informiert. Bei der Nachfrage, ob die wegen früherer Abreise die nicht genutzten Nächte erstattet werden, wurde sich hinter den AGB's versteckt und lediglich ein 10% nachlass auf eine erneute Buchung angeboten.

     This is a great ground floor apartment with parking. It is SO nice to have a designated parking spot because otherwise parking in Montreal is a total nightmare. With maps it is easy to get to. Make sure to remember to bring your own soap, but the Maxi supermarket down the street has all of that if you forget. The bed was nicely cushioned and the overall apartment felt very private.

     This is a nice, large, open space. Lovely living room area and comfortable king sized bed in a stylish exposed brick bedroom. The kitchen appliances weren’t easily visible or properly cleaned, nor was there any dish soap to be found, but other than that the stay was wonderful.      This place was pleasant enough, the hosts were good to get back to us quickly, and provided a handy guestbook ahead of check-in. However, be aware that they run 19 Airbnb properties, and apparently expect guests to do their own property maintenance (e.g., they will not salt a dangerously icy parking spot), wipe down the shower after they're done (even though they charge an $86 cleaning fee!), charge you $50 + shipping + taxes to send you something you might have left behind, and will only mention a "damage deposit" after you have made your booking (which you should never agree to pay, since it was not part of the listing and the original agreement/booking). Our stay ended up being nice, but there were too many hassles - and the potential for even more - to make this place worth it for others, unless the hosts change their practices.

     Great host with quick response time and making sure that things are fixed within the best delays. We appreciated the private parking since it is quite difficult to park in the street. It would have been a perfect score if the cleaning ladies had not left bed sheets drying on the table and left towels in the dryer (not completely dry). The backyard needs significant maintenance with the deck, patio set badly needing paint, cutting the grass, but otherwise, the place is great, lots of room and quiet. Overall, we are pleased and would still go back.

     Lovely stay from beginning to end. Great communication with owner and no issues during our one month stay. The place is as pictured, the kitchen is very well stocked with appliances, and if you are a baker you can definitely take advantage of the different trays and pans for baking. The yards is like a private oasis with tons of birds visiting in the mornings and afternoons. Lovely music to listen too. We took extra advantage of the outdoor space as I was staying with my 4 y/o and all she wanted was to run and climb the back tree. The place is clean, safe and great location with easy access to get around town. The big tub is amazing! Would definitely stay again if we ever get the chance.

     Bring your own shampoo and soap and toothbrush and toothpaste. Pictures look way better than in person. Creaky floors, a couple broken tiles in bathroom. Hope they fix it. Limited hot water. The hot water tank is so small theres only enough to fill half the bath tub. You can hear the upstairs neighbor. Also means they can hear you ;) Plus side. Its really cute old house.

     This is a steal for the price! The location is definitely not downtown, but it is a nice quiet spot with a delicious bakery and cafe (Mollo) right down the street. The parking spot is a huge bonus and the whole house was really cozy and felt like a home not a rental. You can hear the upstairs neighbors pretty clearly moving around. But, I don’t think there is anything that can be done about that though as it’s an just a beautiful old house and that comes with the territory. All in all it is a perfect getaway spot and I couldn’t recommend it more!

     Loved this place! It reminds us the past and history of Montreal. Very charming and well furnished. Very spacious and so close to everything: the city, an awesome coffee shop and bakery (Mollo) 2 mins walk away and close to the awesome bike path if you are there in the summer. It’s an older structure so you might hear people in the stairs but it would absolutely not stop me from going there again because I much prefer that than a modern sterile condo.

     La Tierra is the quintessential home away from home. Don’t miss out on this fabulous humble abode. Free parking makes for a stress free vacation, and the backyard with all the space and BBQ is an awesome feature for all ages. The bathtub is also a major highlight, as is the king bed which is one of the best I’ve ever slept on. Kitchen is fully equipped and functions terrifically for entertaining and cooking. Loved the kitchen so much! Really thoughtful touches like an HDMI cord for the TV as well as extra blankets for comfort were awesome. Access to the city with a car was definitely best, but by foot, you can do anything and get anywhere you want. I’d recommend this place to people who love to walk, a great area for doing this. Walking distance to Atwater / Griffintown, St Henri, Old Port. The walking along the canal is fantastic. Can’t recommend this place enough, looking forward to my next stay in the summer!      Pleasant, clean, and comfortable house although it lacks a bit of maintenance in general, but this does not prevent you from having an enjoyable stay, especially if you spend your time in town most of the time. However, be careful if you own a luxury car as you will be in a less privileged area and prone to thieves, who were quick to break into my vehicle the first night, even though we had left nothing in sight. It may be better to leave your vehicle on the street rather than in the parking lot, which is out of sight. Despite the little problems we had, I recommend this house for those who want to be close to tourist attractions without being stuck in the city center with parking problems. Note that our host always responded quickly when we contacted her, whether by phone or email.

The start was a bit problematic, because I didn't receive the keybox code, but basically that was my fault (mixed up with booking.com code) and didn't respond to request to pay the deposit . Jeanne helped us to get in. The communication with Home in Montreal was very good (mainly by e-mail).      What a lovely spot in beautiful Pointe Sainte Charles. It was easy to find, the parking space was huge and very accessible, and check-in was seamless. We were in town for 5 days for a wedding, but were at the unit quite a bit. Where the unit delivered: - the bath... huge, deep, so incredibly comfortable. What a treat. - the backyard is large, serene, has plenty of seating. It was really lovely to have some private outdoor space during our visit. - the bed was huge, very comfortable, and the room was nice and dark and quiet. - there is lots of space to store your belongings for your stay. You can really move in for your visit and feel right at home and comfortable. Where the unit could improve: - the front door lock is difficult to use and does not feel secure. - the cleanliness could be scaled up a bit - the living room furniture doesn't really offer a spot to really put your feet up and relax. - there is a buzzing that comes from the TV/wifi boxes that is very loud. We had to have something playing (music, radio, TV) pretty well at all times to drown it out. Otherwise, a beautiful unit that offers a really nice vacation. Great coffee and bakery down the street too (Mollo).

On est également à 15mn à pieds du traditionnel et très plaisant marché ATWATER. L'appartement est très bien équipé; il dispose d'un joli jardin qui mériterait d'être un peu mieux entretenu. Par contre il n'y a qu'une chambre. Possibilité de stationner sa voiture sur un emplacement réservé à l'appartement. Très belle cuisine, bien équipée. Negative: Pas assez d'explications sur le fonctionnement du chauffage. Une petite notice explicative sur le sujet serait la bien venue. De même pour le fonctionnement de la box et de la télé. La douche mériterait d'être refaite. Nous avons été un peu dérangé par le voisin du dessus : bruits de pas jusqu'à tard dans la nuit

     This airbnb was so convenient and great for our visit to Montreal to see family. The place was nicer than the pictures, and the deep bath was divine. we really liked that they had a kids mattress (and playpen, collapsible high chair which we didn't need but appreciate the offering in such a place), this came handy with a toddler in tow. We didn't use the backyard as it was cold and rainy but it was spacious and I can see us enjoying it in summer when we hopefully rent it again. The parking spot in an area that typically only has street parking was a major plus for us. Thanks for the use of this space, suited our needs and was such a nice homebase point!

Il est proche du canal de Lachine et des quais et permet de rejoindre la vieille ville à vélo. La place de parking privative a été grandement appréciée.      Thank you Jeanne for our stay at your lovely home which was perfect for the 2 of us to park our car for free & Uber around. Only about $14USD to downtown or old Montreal/Port. We rarely heard any noise from the aprt. above The home is fully equipped & very comy. They ensure everything is top notch. I'd highly recommend this place for a stay & we'll return. For dining & bars Nellie's has a lovely rooftop & a great restaurant. Wolf & Workman Pub is a few steps past Nellie's. They have a heated courtyard . Motavie is a great restaurant with live jazz every night! The best Italian is at La Marinara; their fettucine alfredo is to die for. The William Gray rooftop errace is beautiful overlooking the port! If you like a great cocktail Bar George is amazing; set in a 140 year old building! Or the Cloakroom bar speakeasy. Monarch & Pol have great drinks too. You must visit Atwater Market! All local products from Quebec from veggies/fruit, cheeses, flowers, meat, honey etc. Incredible! :)

Negative: First, the place hadn't been cleaned when we arrived at our check in time, with dirty laundry on the unmade bed, etc. The owner was prompt in addressing this, and a cleaner arrived about 2 hours later. Great, but this meant we had to stay there until he arrived and while he cleaned because of all our things present, so we lost an evening of our short stay waiting around. They did waive our cleaning fee though, so thanks for that... Then there were odd broken items everywhere: door frames, random large hooks in the ceiling, wires hanging out of the walls, and about half of the lightbulbs in the place were out. With a few weekends of work this place could be great quality, but at this time it was run down and needing a lot of TLC. Looks great in photos, but needs an update in person.

     Truly an amazing place. Old world craftsmanship with wood floors and beams remodeled wonderfully. Sparkling clean. Private parking a huge plus. Well-stocked kitchen; I made most of my meals there. Everything about it speaks to a pleasant stay and a great visit to Montreal. Jeanne responded to my texts quickly and efficiently. A bit of noise from the apartment above, but to be expected in an older yet exceptionally well-kept building. Would not keep me from coming back.

     I have stayed here several times. Comfortable, cozy apartment with character of old beams and brick walls. Private and quiet and I appreciate the parking available. Kitchen has good amenities to cook in. Jeanne, the host is always helpful and friendly if needed.

     Schönes großes Haus, welches in einem ruhigen und sicherem Viertel liegt. Wer dem Großstadt Trubel aus dem Weg gehen möchte, aber trotzdem noch eine gute Anbindung an die Stadt haben will (4 Bus Linien direkt vor der Tür), der ist hier richtig. Auch war der inklusive Parkplatz für unser Auto ein wichtiger Bestandteil der Buchung. Beachtet bitte nur, dass wenn ihr ein heißes Bad nehmen wollt, dass ihr am besten vorher nicht geduscht habt, da das heiße Wasser nicht für die gesamte Badewanne reichen kann.

     Excellent access to public transportation, very important in this city. Bus stop is steps away. Use the metro, to save expense. Spacious, kitchen well equipped and super useful. Thanks again!!

     Positive: Location to public transport, kitchen was great. Negative: Bed was stiff, almost like a mattress base, not a real mattress. Upstairs neighbor was noisy until 2am some nights!! Didn't wanna complain, so i waited too long, three sleepless nights. Trim was busted over a doorway, unfixed, thermostat had caught fire previously, perhaps unfixed? Heat was cycling 24 hours, no matter the setting. We kept it set quite low. So, not knowing what to do, to protect ourselves just in case of unfounded charges, we photographed these issues and contacted staff. Told not to be concerned. Hmmmm. I have still not received my security deposit, $750 canadian, has not been credited back to my account yet, promised back within 48 hours in documents. Its been four days, and We are still waiting for a PayPal transaction. I am a seasoned and serious traveler and have treated their place like my own, super respectfully. The place was left super clean according to directions. To what end? I am not sure yet!! If you're reading this, take note... that's all I'm willing to say, at this point in the process.

     Comfortable and homey apartment with nice historic features of wood beams and wood floors. Quiet. Very well equipped kitchen. Parking is also a real asset. Jeanne is very responsive to any text messages, friendly and professional.
