  1. We have been bringing our family to Le Lounge for several years now. It is immaculately maintained and spacious enough to accomodate 7 adults and 5 children comfortably. The large deck with dining and seating area is an extra bonus for a large group. The ownrs have furnished it in a stylish manner with lots of thoughtful touches to make our stay trouble free. We enjoy having so many interesting restaurants and stores just outside our door.we can heartily recommend this appartment.

  7. My family and I had a fantastic time staying at Le Sky. An awesome location, close to everything. Delicious cafes and restaurants all around. Beautiful apartment, fully stocked kitchen. Definitely strongly recommend it. Looking forward to staying there next year when we come visit Montrea again.

  8. I have no words to describe how great this airbnb is and for its price is very affordable for a fantastic airbnb experience especially for a large group of 6 like mine. It's not noisy day-time or night time, I think the neighbourhood is very nice and safe, convenience to public transport and convenience stores (Dollarama, groceries stores, SAQ & "24hr A&W" right next door) They even have a baby crib ready for any family with a child. The manager is very nice, she also helped us sorted out with parking around the area as it is quite busy during day time. We even decide for a last minute pot luck during our stay and it has everything that you need and some basic seasoning. I will certainly return for this Airbnb again, this is how much I love this place!!!!!!!

  10. 10 minute walk to train station and close to supermarket, butcher, green grocer and coffee. Really lovely apartment- great extra things for kids (cot/high chair)! Note that the apartment is up two levels of stairs if mobility is an issue.

  11. This place was a great overall space in a great location. Plenty of room to move around the condo and it was very modern. Very close to restaurants and transportation. Also, there is a paid parking lot right behind it which is nice if you are driving. An only drawback is a large number of steps to the place. Pack light and you will be in great shape!

  21. We loved having enough space for the 5 of us to relax, sleep and shower. The beds were comfortable, the pillows were a little hard according to some, but fine for others. The couch was comfortable and big, just wish you could see the tv from it, for our two rainy evenings. So many restaurants and bakeries to choose from. I would have appreciated a bit more guidance on which ones were better, and for the restaurants, too! Also, we didn’t realize how crowded the restaurants can get and we should have made some reservations. The metro is a bit far. I highly recommend getting a metro/bus pass for the amount of time you will be there. It’s so easy to hop on the 97 bus (it’s slow, though) to get to the metro, if you don’t want to walk or on the way home when you are very tired or carrying things. And being able to hop on a bus or metro anywhere in the city made getting around so much better. The location of the apartment is not in a touristy area, so you do have the sense that you are living more as locals and that is always a better experience, from my perspective, if you want to get to know a city and a people.

  26. We had such a great experience with this awesome apt. Freddie was extremely prompt and thorough in all of our communication. The guest book provided made everything about checkin/checkout quite easy. The apt is very comfortable - everything is brand new. The location is wonderful if you're looking to experience a less-touristy area of the city. Everything you could need is within walking distance. Although the apt is on a busier street, there is very little street noise inside. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Joanna & Frederique were wonderful to deal with and they provided detailed information about the unit as well as great suggestions & information about the neighborhood. Y'a t'il un endroit plus adapté pour passer un séjour à Montreal? c'était là une grosse question avant notre voyage...la réponse est désormais à portée de main: non seulement le plateau est CERTAINEMENT the place to be de Montréal, mais en plus l'appart est MAGNIFIQUE. Salon et salle à manger sont lumineux et pratiques et en plus cette petite terrasse est vraiment un must.. Quatre chambres séparées, tous conforts, avec du materiel neuf et de qualité....extra. Plein de commerces y compris une excellente boucherie juste en dessous de la maison, un sushi, un super marché et le magasin d'alcools (vins et bieres).. Que du bonheur! Merci Joanna et Fred, c'était génial. On le conseillera à tous.

Short walk to the metro. Joanna and Frederique left a detailed list of useful information about the apartment and area, and were quick to reply to any emails. Would definitely book again.

  33. This listing is exactly as described. While I didn't meet Joanna or Frederique they were always in touch and happy to answer any questions I had. The space was clean and spacious. There were five of us and there was plenty of room for everyone to make themselves at home. The neighborhood was lovely with lots of places to visit within walking distance, and it was very central for the city as a whole. Parking was a bit tricky sometimes, but we usually found a spot. I'd highly recommend staying here if you are in Montreal, especially if you're traveling with a large group.

  36. My friends and i had a great time in Montreal. The place we stayed in Mont-Royal was awesome. It was located in a great neighborhood, with tons of restaurants, shops and close to transportation. The apartment was absolutely amazing. Joanna and Frederique have a real jewel with this place. The beds were very comfortable and it was easy enough to get around to the rest of the city frpm this location. In addition, the hosts, provided with all instructions up front and well in advance so we knew how to get everywhere . When we come back to Montreal we are definitely staying here again. Thanks again for hosting us! :)

  43. This was our first trip to Montreal - we are Washington Capitals fans and went to go see them play the Montréal Canadiens at Centre Bell. We were only there for two days and aside from our team losing, it could not have gone better. :) The accommodations were perfect! everything was super modern, extremely clean and as comfortable and well located as you would want in a metropolitan city. The surrounding neighborhood has everything that you would want a including a grocery store and several cafés. We really felt like we were staying in the city of Montreal.

  46. Overall this apartment is identical to what was shown in the pictures. My group of friends and I loved it. Rooms very super spacious and the beds were comfortable. The kitchen was fully stocked as well which was great for making breakfast in the morning. Few negatives things I must add was that the microwave and garbage can in the kitchen were broken. Also, there was a large amount of garbage in the patio and a few amenities were missing when we got there. It was all taken care of the next day.

  48. Our time at this lovely condo could not have been more perfect. It is in a super cool area, with everything you need literally right outside the front door. The condo was beautifully decorated, very comfortable, extremely spacious and a wonderful home away from home. Our hosts were extremely helpful and gracious, and we would definitely stay here again. The only thing to be aware of is the 2 extremely steep flights of stairs to get to the condo. They may prove a bit much for older folks . Nothing but good things to say about this place and it's owners. Truly a great experience.Thank you !

Tout est à proximité: boulangerie, boucherie, épicerie, restaurants et j'en passe ! L'appartement est très propre, lumineux, neuf, bien chauffé à cette période de l'hiver et tout le nécessaire est fourni. Le niveau de bruit est aussi tout à fait acceptable. C'est un excellent choix pour un groupe avec ces 4 chambres et 2 salles de bain ! Nous nous sommes sentis tout de suite chez nous. La propriétaire a répondu très rapidement à toutes nos demandes et questions. Vraiment, je le recommande chaudement.

The Plateau neighbourhood is convenient and beautiful. Parking is a bit challenging and we found it easier not to have a car - just get around the city by walking, bus and metro like the locals do. We enjoyed being there and I recommend the place.

We had a cleaning issue (sheets, floors, etc not being cleaned). Jane was responsive to the setback and refunded us the cleaning fee. Yes a major inconvenience (as we had to do the laundry for all the sheets) but it does happen.

  65. Joanna's apartment was incredible and everything was exactly as advertised. It was clean, had comfortable furniture and was able to host our group of 5 at a standard that was higher than most hotels. The location was terrific and was nearby to many great restaurants, cafes, retail shops and night life. The apartment was fully equipped with a kitchen for us to cook breakfast. There was a grocery store next door that helped us reduce our trip costs so that we could spend more on our lunches and dinners. The only feedback we have that we were surprised with was that the Wi-Fi costed extra money if you wanted to stream content. We like to stream netflix and were under the impression that high speed Wi-Fi was included. Otherwise, the apartment was great and Joanna was very accommodating and even allowed us to do a late checkout. Would definitely stay again.

It's great for a group of 8-10, lots of bars and restaurants nearby with SAQ and grocery stores right across the street. The lockbox key system was extremely convenient for a large group coming and going at different times. We thought the parking would be a hassle, but ended up finding spots where everyone could park for the whole weekend.

  76. Joanna was very responsive and her place was a great place/location with many eclectic shops and bars, grocery, famous Viateur bagel shop, and much, much more! I was concerned about the glass (as I'm a clean person and don't want things to scratch), but it worked out for us. We have the same noguchi table, so the kids are familiar with it. The location is ideal and if you have a vehicle, pay parking is in the back. We didn't have hand towels or face towels, just body towels available. You will need soap/shampoo for showers, but that is typical of most airbnb's. The place is very ideal for our family of 6!

  77. Let me start this review by saying that the ONLY reason that this property did not receive 5 stars was because it wasn't clean. However, I'm willing to give the owner the benefit of the doubt and say that she may just need to hire more conscientious cleaning staff. Pros: The location was great. There are numerous really good restaurants and shops in walking distance. The layout and space were perfect for our multigenerational family of ten. The Guest Book provided by the owner contained loads of helpful information and the owner was very nice and responsive. To Consider: Parking is a challenge as it is a combination of street and lot parking requiring that you move your car at least once each day. If I were to come back, I would consider using public transportation. Cons: The apartment was not clean and had not been thoroughly cleaned in a while. Upon my initial walk through of the apartment, I noticed dirty linen in the laundry room and dust on the glass tables, decorative plants and other furniture. Then upon opening the refrigerator, there was a dead bug, butter left from a prior guest and the refrigerator and freezer shelves were dirty. My sister then noticed a stain on the duvet on one bed along with hairs on the sheets and hairs and stains on the sheets of another bed. At this point I contacted the owner & sent her pictures. She immediately sent over a cleaning person and told me that the person would do whatever we needed. However, there was a language barrier (my French is not good) and each time I asked her to perform as task, she did it with a smile but then grabbed her backpack to leave. The issue was that there weren't just a few discreet tasks that needed to be performed. Rather, the apartment needed to be thoroughly cleaned. For instance, there was hair and some "gunk" in the bottom of a bathtub & the bathtub wall had mold & mildew on it. I pointed out the hair & "gunk" & the cleaning person cleaned it & grabbed her backpack to leave but did not touch the bathtub walls. At that point, I just thanked her & she left. My sister & I then purchased cleaning supplies and cleaned the place ourselves. I do believe that it is a mistake to rely on whether or not guests unmake beds and pull towels to determine whether or not they will be laundered. The apartment should be thoroughly cleaned (including dusting, cleaning tub & shower walls & laundering all bedding & linen) prior to the arrival of each and every guest. Again, I'm willing to give the owner the benefit of the doubt. She was pleasant and responsive and sent someone immediately in an effort to rectify the matter but I think the cleaning person expected to complete 1 or 2 tasks when there was much more work that needed to be done.

  104. Visitors should know that Olympic Village is closed and there is nothing other than the Botanical Gardens to visit in that area. Also, PARK YOUR CAR! Take public transit. We spent hours looking for parking and actually gave up on a couple of sites because we couldn't find parking. If you must drive, read and follow the detailed parking instructions provided by the host. Finally, the flat is up two very narrow staircases. Pack light!

There were seven of us, and the apartment comfortably housed us all, and could easily do so for a larger group as well. Location was excellent--near to many places to eat and in walking distance to many of the attractions we wanted to see. We were able to find parking for free on a residential street (following the directions provided by the host in their guide regarding which areas visitors could park in).

  108. Located in a great neighborhood, I felt safe, easy to access downtown with Uber/cab. The apartment was spacious and very comfortable for my group of 8. It was very clean and the apartment had everything we needed for our stay (towels, kitchen supplies for cooking). If it were warmer out, the terrace would have been a great place to hang out on. When we checked in, the fire alarm battery needed to be changed, but the hosts responded right away and had it fixed in no time at all. The hosts are very friendly and quick to respond to my messages, and made my trip very easy, I had no worries at all going into it. I would definitely stay here again on my next trip to Montreal.

The rooms were spacious, and the big square dining table was perfect for sharing a meal with everyone in our group. The updated appliances and bathroom facilities were great, with a very deep tub that was fabulous for a soak. It was centrally located to all the things we wanted to do, with very convenient shops and restaurants nearby. Check in/out was a breeze. I would happily stay there again and recommend it to others.

  148. My three friends and I had the good fortune of staying in this lovely apartment for two nights of a seven night road trip. The apartment is spacious, clean, and bright. The four of us were so excited we could each have our own bedroom and space to stretch out and relax. The entire apartment was decorated very nicely, and we appreciated the amenities, such as a coffee pot and a supply of ground coffee. The table and chairs on the deck outside were a nice surprise. Parking in the back lot was easy as there were plenty of spaces, and the 24-hour rate was quite affordable when compared to urban parking in the U.S. The location of the apartment is hard to beat. It was so nice to be able to walk downstairs and be seated in a nice restaurant or cafe within minutes. Speaking of stairs; it should be noted the apartment is on the third floor. There are steep stairs that are challenging if you are carrying a heavy suitcase. This is quickly forgotten once inside such a nice apartment, but thought I should mention it for other to consider if they have mobility issues.

It's an old building and the stairs were steep. Hauling the luggage up the stairs was a workout! I would say that the house only comfortably fits 8 adults. There are floor mats, which would be ok for young children. We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again!

  163. This apartment was spacious for our family of 5 - my teenage kids really appreciated having their own rooms - and having two bathrooms was great. The hall bathroom was nice with good lighting and a skylight. And the kitchen was small but efficient, and stocked enough for meals. There were no food items, other salt and pepper, sugar and some coffee, so if you plan to cook, you will need buy or bring other things like oil and any other spices. It was very nice to have a washer and dryer so that we could pack lightly. It’s on the third floor, so beware if you have trouble with steps. Although it’s on a main road, with what seems like a 1000 restaurants, the apartment was very quiet. Many of the restaurants were good or looked good, but be sure to make reservations if you can, because they get very busy! And it’s a good 15 minute walk to the metro. I wish the tv was placed where you can actually see it from the couch. We had a couple rainy nights and we would have watched something together if we could have. Jeanne was easy to reach and gave us helpful information. Overall, a good place to stay for a visit or Montreal!

The common spaces (including the deck!) were comfortable for everyone to hang out and for the kids to play, while the bedrooms gave everyone a calm space to retreat to. Baby essentials in the apartment (crib, high chair, stool) were very convenient. It is in an extremely vibrant neighborhood with lots of food and shopping, and it becomes a pedestrian street in the summer. Parking was convenient and not expensive. A little bit of a walk to the metro, but not bad.

I love to cook but there were so many places to try out, I didn’t use the kitchen that much. The metro stop is also pretty close. Having four bedrooms and 2 bathrooms was great (I came with 3 of 5 of my daughters). Netflix was already installed on the TV (although I watched very little- there was too much to do in the area). The unit was very clean. I also have a Noguchi table!The owners were very responsive and reached out to me regularly. They allowed me to stash my luggage there a bit early on arrival and let the cleaning crew know. I would definitely stay here again. Just a lovely place in a lovely neighborhood.

  173. Beautiful and stylish apartment in the most happening part of Montreal. We chose this place in a situation were out Hotel downtown messed up our booking. The hosts happened to have this glorious place available, and answered our requests rapidly. Our whole family loved it, and we considered finding this place the best posssible outcome. All four bedrooms were spatious and elegent, the bathrooms were top notch, and the living area with a balcony getting evening sun so welcoming. The neighbourhood of East Plateau was full of great restaurants, shops, parks, streets with trees & cast iron stairs, and the vibe of people living life as they want as they walk or hang-out on the long, epic pedestrian zone of Rue Mont-Royale Est! Will definitely try and book this place again next time our family is in Montreal!

The residence matched the description and pictures exactly. We had a group of three couples and several young children. We found it to have ample space and it perfectly fit all of our needs. Just a note, if you are driving the parking lot behind the building can get crowded. Its a public lot and Its best to park and leave your car there daily ($16 CAD per 24 hours) and enjoy the neighborhood.

The stairs aren’t too bad, just quite steep! So just have to be careful about that. The place was spacious and has everything you need. We enjoyed our stay and the hosts were responsive and kind! We would stay again :)

Great place for a family (or two!) in a bustling neighborhood -- lots of small shops, restaurants, parks, etc. within walking distance and especially beautiful in summer when the street below is closed to vehicle traffic. The apartment is spacious and the kitchen well equipped, wifi reliable, laundry a big plus for an extended stay. Access was easy and the hosts were very responsive. This was a great "home base" to explore Montreal!

  212. Positive: Great location. Street was blocked off for the summer from traffic. Many restaurants, shops and bars within walking distance. Negative: Parking was difficult to figure out as we don’t speak French. There was a parking lot behind our apt and even though we paid and put the ticket in the window, we were ticketed. Follow all parking directions carefully.

  228. We had a great stay at Jeanne’s place! The flat is big and with everything you might need (including some toys for the kids which have been essential for us :) ). The neighbourhood is lovely and full of shops/places to eat!! We really enjoyed our time in Montreal and I would absolutely recommend Jeanne’s flat!
